I love the contrast between the right and left halves of the piece; the right has warmer lighting while the left half has a more blue, ghoulish glow. The characters are lit convincingly as well; Theo's orange face captures that there are flames in front of him, off-camera. The setup of the scene is dynamic and comical; both characters are preparing for and anticipating attack. Theo looks frustrated, while Amerith shows some concentration, but isn't as intensely worried. I love the approach to shading and stylization, too. Both are distinctive.
